Community Place of Greater Rochester 20th Anniversary
In 2001 three historic Rochester Settlement Houses (Lewis Street Center, Genesee Settlement House, and Eastside Community Center) combined their programs to forge a new agency – The Community Place of Greater Rochester (CPGR). Twenty years on we are celebrating that moment, the legacies of our founders, and all the work that has been done in the past two decades.
CPGR is a leading neighborhood-based community center, providing a foundation for growth, empowerment and stability for those we serve. We remain committed to delivering a wide range of social, developmental, and educational programs delivered through our facilities in the northeast sector of the city of Rochester (NY) and throughout the greater Rochester area.
Our programs assist families with food and other basic needs, prepare youth for college, work and life, and maximize wellness and independence for older adults and individuals with developmental disabilities.
We will be celebrating our twenty years of service in different ways through out the year. Please keep an eye on this page as we update our activities.
