Community Place celebrates those who make Giving an Art

On April 25th The Community Place of Greater Rochester (CPGR) held The Art of Giving 2014 at Oak Hill Country Club. This yearly fundraiser was also an occasion to recognize some of the truly special people and organizations in our community, those who make “Giving an Art.” The honorees for 2014 were Ms. Brenda Jones, Peace of Christ Parish and 441 Ministries.

Ms. Brenda Jones was honored for her 40 years of teaching, mentoring, and caring for children in Rochester settlement houses. You can read more about her service . Both Peace of Christ Parish and 441 Ministries are neighbors to CPGR and constant supporters throughout the year – making a difference in the lives of many. At the end of the year, both of these groups have collaborated with CPGR to feed members of the community at our Annual Holiday Dinner during the Season of Hope.

Community Place is very thankful to have the support of all these outstanding people as we continue to fulfill our mission “Strengthening Community, one person, one family at a time.”
